Bare Møbler is a collaboration between Ørjan Djønne and Karl Marius Sveen. They both graduated in 2004 from the Royal Academy of Art and Design in Bergen, with major subjects in furniture design and interior architecture.
"Allready as students, they develop a reputation in the design environment as innovative, bold and with a distinct style."
Since then they have participated in a wide range of exhibitions at home and internationally and have been featured in national and international journals. Their products are excellent examples of new Norwegian design that have received great attention, where the product are characterized by simplicity, use of natural materials and understatement.
The word "bare" can be associated with both naked and simple in English and Norwegian, hence the name Bare Møbler. Their work is rooted in the modern Scandinavian design tradition, and high-quality craftsmanship characterizes their products.
