From our roots in Scandinavian task seating design, we’ve grown into a global leader in workspace solutions – creating furniture that supports people wherever and however they work.

The name Flokk comes from the Norwegian word for ‘group’ or ‘herd’. It reflects our belief that workspaces should bring people together – to focus, collaborate and connect.

We believe great design can do more than look good. It can enhance well-being, enable productivity, and help reduce environmental impact. We work closely with businesses and specialists in design and well-being to shape workspaces where people feel supported, valued and able to do their best.

Our collection of brands brings this purpose to life – delivering thoughtful, durable solutions for every kind of workspace and every kind of person.

At Flokk, everything we do is driven by one idea; to inspire great work

With a combined heritage of over 400 years, the earliest of the Flokk brands to be established was Giroflex in 1872, with HÅG founded in 1943, and both RH and RBM in the ’70s.

HÅG, RH & RBM were the founder brands of Scandinavian Business Seating in 2007, but as the company gained new brands, outgrowing its Scandinavian roots with Swiss brand Giroflex, Poland-based Profim, a new name was needed to reflect the growing stature and international appeal of the organisation.

In 2024 the brands RBM and Profim where merged in to the Profim brand, aligned with our strategic evolution and brand integration.

Flokk is the Norwegian word for flock, which in its most basic terms means a group or a gathering. But it can be much more than that. A Flokk is synonymous with a group, defined by a common idea or goal. It’s about being part of something greater than yourself while fulfilling your own personality and identity.

In later years American brands 9to5 Seating and Stylex has joined the Flokk portfolio, making us boost our position in the United States of America.

We like to think that our Flokk is greater than the sum of its parts.
