Jianqing Experimental School is a long established education facility in central Shanghai. With a floor space of nearly 30,000sq.m, their 68 classes teach complete primary and secondary education to over 2300 students.
When the art department renovated their largest classroom, the school was looking for a range of visually appealing furniture to compliment the playful nature of the environment. The Furniture also needed to be sturdy, with a long lifespan, easy to clean and easily stored. Above all, they were looking for colourful chairs, and tables which could easily be rearranged to cater for large and small group work, whilst also providing enough space for individual tasks.
After a consultation period, the school chose 10 RBM Twisted Little Star tables, with a set of 40 RBM Noor chairs.
The chairs were specified in three different colours, yellow, red, and white, coordinating with the overall design of the workspace. With a five-year warranty, RBM Noor chairs are built to withstand the daily rigours of an active school, whilst their simple shape makes them easily wiped down when messy. Their strong ergonomic design also provides a healthy sitting position.
RBM Twisted Little Star has a very playful shape, like a jigsaw piece, naturally providing 4 individual work areas on a single desk. They can be joined together to create different shaped work areas. With a wide surface area, and a simple yet elegant leg design, they are easy to wipe down, and provide no hidden areas for grime to accumulate.
