The RH Mereo series was born from a collaboration rooted in user-centred innovation. The external designers Joakim Ahlström and Kristian Eke brought structure and methodology to complement Flokk’s deep expertise in ergonomics, engineering, and sustainable design.

This partnership elevated the user research process and set a strong foundation for the project’s values and direction.Developed closely with Flokk’s in-house team, the RH Mereo reflects Scandinavian design principles, ergonomic precision, and long-term workplace well-being.

The design was shaped by Fjaryl, a Stockholm-based agency founded by Joakim Ahlström and Kristian Eke—both with backgrounds at the renowned consultancy Veryday.

Joakim Ahlström is an award-winning industrial designer known for fusing user insights with brand-defining design across sectors from healthcare to EV charging.

Kristian Eke brings a clean, purposeful approach rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, with a focus on translating complex needs into elegant, ergonomic solutions.

Together, the team created a high-performance seating solution designed to enhance posture, performance, and everyday comfort at work.
