The Designers behind RH Mereo
The development of RH Mereo was rooted in user-centred innovation, with early involvement from external designers who strengthened the structure and methodology of the process. In close collaboration with Flokk’s in-house team, the concept was refined through strong expertise in ergonomics, engineering and sustainability, resulting in a robust, high-performance seating solution aligned with RH’s values.
The RH Mereo series, including the new RH Mereo Mesh, emerged from this partnership. The three designers working at the design and innovation agency Fjaryl, based in Stockholm, share a background from the acclaimed design consultancy Veryday (later McKinsey Design), and together with Flokk, they shaped a product family rooted in Scandinavian design principles, ergonomic precision, and long-term workplace well-being.
Joakim Ahlström is an award-winning industrial designer known for fusing user insights with brand-defining design across sectors from healthcare to EV charging.
Kristian Eke brings a clean, purposeful approach rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, with a focus on translating complex needs into elegant, ergonomic solutions.
Jenny Johansson is a physical product designer with a strong foundation in user-centred innovation, creating thoughtful, human-centred products that balance usability, aesthetics, functionality and technical requirements.
Together, this team embodies a commitment to human-centred design, transforming insights into products that support posture, performance, and long-term well-being in professional workspaces.
