The partnership between the museum and Flokk began back in 2017, when the office area was looking for new desk seating. An array of HÅG Capisco and HÅG SoFi mesh chairs were installed across their office space. “Our old chairs really had the best years behind them, were hard, uncomfortable and consumed. When purchasing new seating solutions, it was important to me that they allow and support a healthy posture for my employees." explains Carmen Diaz, Managing Director of the German Culture & Sport Marketing GmbH.
Diaz was influenced by Heike Henkel 1992 Olympic High Jump Gold medallist, company advisor on health & wellbeing in the workplace, and advocate of the HÅG philosophy of movement and activity whilst seated. Diaz continues; "The great synergies between our core competence, the sport, and the focus from Flokk convinced me immediately. To bring movement to where otherwise there is rather rigid sitting… that's exactly the philosophy we want to live and experience in our rooms. "
Flokk once again worked closely with the organisation when additional seating was required for use during events and conferences. Looking to create a similar synergy between the furniture and the environment, they opted for the HÅG Conventio Wing in white.
The HÅG Conventio Wing is tailor-made for event spaces. Light and airy, yet sturdy, its design enables quick and efficient arrangement of rows of seating. Connecting devices allow a solid row to be constructed, and the materials used are easily cleaned and maintained, giving the chair a long life. Easily stackable, large quantities can also be stored away when not in use.
Like all HÅG designs, it has special features which promote movement and freedom, stimulating blood flow and oxygenation throughout the body. The tilt mechanism also allows the chair’s feet to be in constant contact with the floor, no matter how uneven, eliminating any rocking that the user may have otherwise encountered.
