Hosting over 250,000 visitors annually and supporting 3,500+ members and 550 companies across multiple locations in Copenhagen, Oslo, Trondheim, and more, Mesh Community exemplifies what a modern, adaptable workspace can achieve.
Mesh’s newest location, Mesh Youngstorget in central Oslo, showcases a pioneering collaboration with Flokk, bringing together furniture solutions tailored for an open, multi-functional space. The site offers an array of environments to suit various working needs, from personal desks to collaborative spaces and dedicated meeting rooms. Here, Mesh introduced their unique workbar concept - an inviting, communal space serving food and drinks, and regularly hosting networking events, live music, and other community-driven activities.
Flokk supported Mesh’s concept with a mission: to provide cost-effective, stylish, and sustainable seating options that align with Mesh’s goals of fostering a warm, innovative community. This partnership equipped Mesh Community with 742 products across 16 product families from three of Flokk’s renowned brands, each selected to enhance different workspaces. Key products chosen include:
Ergonomics and aesthetics: The HÅG Capisco Puls chairs, chosen in large numbers, are ideal for shared workstations. Known for their ergonomic and visually striking design, these chairs support employee well-being and encourage longer, more comfortable work sessions.
Flexible event seating: The Profim Ana and Profim Noor chairs enhance Mesh’s event and conference spaces, combining lightweight, stackable designs with customizable colour options. These adaptable chairs help the space transform quickly for events of all sizes.
Longevity and cost efficiency: Flokk’s furniture is designed to last, with easily replaceable parts, accessible service options, and long-term warranties. These elements contribute to Mesh’s cost-effectiveness by reducing the need for frequent replacements and supporting ongoing use and maintenance.
Sustainability: 95% of the products specified in this project are Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certified, ensuring both parties can track the environmental impact precisely. When exploring the impact of that 95%, the key highlights include:
39% Recycled materials: Analysing those with EPDs shows over one-third of materials sourced from recycled content.
65% Reduced environmental impact: The result of the inclusion of recycled materials results in a 65% lower environmental impact - over 26,000kg* CO₂e saved- compared to if we did not include recycled materials.
