These pieces bring comfort, warmth, and a clear Scandinavian expression to a building designed to connect culture, landscape, and visitor experience.
The Museum of Forest Finn Culture opened in November 2025, officially inaugurated by Queen Sonja of Norway.
The design was selected through an international competition launched in 2018, with the winning proposal by Hanna Johansson & Juráš Lasovský of Lasovsky Johansson Architects, together with Filip Lipinski of Lipinski Architects. The project has been a seven-year design and build journey.
Conceived as “a museum in the forest”, the building acts as a gentle threshold between the outdoors and the exhibition spaces. A forest-like rhythm of slender columns surrounds the structure, inviting visitors to explore both the architecture and the landscape it sits within.
Offecct in the space
The circular Offecct Font installation forms a seating ring around the fireplace, creating a calm, social focal point at the heart of the building. Offecct Sou sofas are placed throughout the dining and lounge areas, adding soft comfort and a warm, welcoming tone for visitors taking a moment to rest.
The interior work was carried out by Ida Skarnes & Ramona Stampfli from Metsä Design & Arkitektur, who integrated Offecct pieces as part of the museum’s overall spatial and material narrative.
