A new rehabilitation centre in Trondheim offers occupational, speech, and physiotherapy services in a warm and welcoming setting for up to 72 patients. Flokk seating was chosen to meet the design project's goals, focusing on quality, aesthetics, strong environmental performance, and universal design.

The centre, designed by interior architects PKA Arkitekter, spans four floors and includes a wide range of spaces including patient and treatment rooms, study areas, meeting and teaching rooms, as well as social spaces including a library, kitchen, and terrace. The specified furniture played a crucial role in the project. Each piece, carefully selected by the suppliers Lindbak, was chosen to align with the building's architectural style and meet the high quality and sustainability standards set by the architects and the client.

To meet quality and environmental criteria, furniture choices were limited to those with type one certifications such as the Swan Ecolabel, Möbelfakta, or EU Ecolabel. Additionally, an emphasis was placed on furniture with type three certifications, like an EPD, which indicates the product's environmental impact.

One of the primary goals at the Trondheim rehabilitation centre was to ensure that the furniture adhered to universal design principles. This means that the furniture was designed to offer a comfortable and functional user experience for everyone, regardless of their physical or cognitive challenges. Special attention was given to making sure that all furniture provided a pleasant experience for all users.

Several Flokk designs were incorporated into the project, with the selection of Profim Noor chairs in two distinct configurations: the fully upholstered 6060F for the quiet study area, and the upholstered seat 6060S for the training spaces and employee dining room. Profim Noor chairs, known for their slim yet robust design, offer a spacious seat suitable for users seeking comfort during both relaxation and study. They are available in a variety of colours, allowing Lindbak to seamlessly integrate them with the interior aesthetic. Additionally, these chairs come with environmental certifications, including an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), GREENGUARD Gold, and Möbelfakta certification.

Profim Nu is an elegant solution for comfort in smaller spaces, and was placed in an intimate meeting room, offering comfort and style. Offecct Lucy sofa system features in the library, providing a soft and luxurious place to sit and read, specified with accompanying tables to place books, drinks or notepads.

HÅG Capisco chairs were also selected in the 8105 configuration without a backrest. Used as stools, these chairs offer a supportive and flexible seating platform that allow a wide range of movement for the upper body whilst keeping the lower body in a controlled position, excellent for a range of physiotherapy needs. HÅG Capisco also has an EPD, GREENGUARD Gold, Nordic Swan and Möbelfakta certification.

The newly established rehabilitation centre in Trondheim has successfully integrated a wide array of Flokk seating solutions to fulfil the project's objectives. The carefully selected furniture, curated by Lindbak, not only meets high-quality and sustainability standards but also aligns seamlessly with the architectural style of the building.
